Charlotte Area Singles Conference 2016

What is the age range?

Single Adults (SA) in the church are those 31 years of age and older

(All divorces must be final). However, we do not discriminate against anyone

younger than 31 as long as you are close to that age and interested in

interacting with those who are 31 and older. Otherwise, please attend the 

YSA (Young Single Adults ages 18-30) activities and conferences.

Will there be any member housing?

Limited, some single adults have offered bed space to those that can not afford a local hotel, this space is limited. Please email Keith Cuillard at cuillard@gmail.com for more information. 

 

Will food be provided?

Yes, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided on Saturday for those that have paid for the full conference.   If you have allergies or any specific food requests, please email JoAnne Eskelsen at:  joanneeskelsen@hotmail.com.

 

Who will be catering Saturday Night's Dinner? 

Vladimir Paje, His specialties are Pulled Pork, Ribs, and Chicken. Last year Vladimir placed 4th in the St Louis Rib Category at the Inaugural Middleburg Athletic Association Grand Slam Rib Cook-off in Middleburg FL, and a month later, placed in the top 10 (out of 26 Backyard Division Teams) in the Rib Category for the Daniels Kids Backyard BBQ competition at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, FL. In May, his team is planning to compete in the “Kings of Q” BBQ Cook-off in Ayden, North Carolina.

 

What does our $30 go toward?  

We are providing four meals with Saturday's meal being catered, a live concert before Saturday's dance, refreshments, and decorations.

 

Can I pay at the door?

Yes but it is recommended that you still mail in your registration form so we can get a good count on the number that will be attending.

 

What if I can’t afford the cost?  

We encourage you to ask your Bishop.  Many wards will help anyone who cannot afford the cost of the conference. Contact JoAnne Eskelsen for more information at:

Can we pay for just the dances? 

Yes, the Dance only Friday or Saturday is $5 each. Food is not included. 

 

Can I request a song to be played at one of the dances?

Yes, requests can be made ahead of time by sending an email to schoony_con@yahoo.com.

 

Where do we send the money for the conference?

How many people do we expect to attend?  

Last year we had over 200 people.  They came from all over North and South Carolina, Florida, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee and more! We hope to have even more this year!
